Matt Case (He/Him)
Camp Director
Matt is an Anytown alumni, having attended camp as a delegate in 1997 before his senior year in high school. The Anytown experience propelled him to get involved in social justice work and continue volunteering at camp first as a counselor, then as an advisor, and finally serving as a director for many camps over the last 25+ years. He has also volunteered at Anytown camps in California and Nevada.
As an Anytown volunteer he has worked on developing curriculum, designing and leading facilitation trainings for other volunteers, and recruiting delegates for camp.
Outside of Anytown Matt is a high school Spanish teacher, having taught for 20+ years. Diversity and equity have always been a part of his classroom and campus as a whole. His classroom is a welcome space for all students, and for many, the place where they are seen and celebrated for who they are. He has designed and led several day long workshops for students and teachers to teach about the importance of inclusion over the years.
Matt is passionate about doing the work of allyship and helping others to recognize the beauty in all of their identities, while building empathetic and caring individuals and communities.
